Gastric Bypass FAQ
Q: What procedure is right for me?
A: Every case is different and it is important to discuss your options
with your doctor.
Q: Are these the only two options?
A: Defiantly not. There are many weight loss procedures to deal with morbid
obesity. Some, but not all, of the procedures are the Roux en-Y (Proximal),
Roux en-Y (Distal), and the Loop Gastric Bypass.
Q: What does a Gastric Bypass do?
A: Gastric Bypass reduces the stomach's size by over 90% by dividing the
stomach into two sections. Once section is much smaller than the other
and this allows a "full feeling" after eating only a small amount of food.
It is important to note that after Gastric Bypass Surgery, eating habits
may need to be altered to avoid being uncomfortable and/or gaining weight
back.
Q: How do I get more information on Gastric Bypass options?
A: Simple! Fill out the form on this page and we will send you out an
information packet all about Gastric Bypass surgery.
